It is very convenient to have a Freeview digital tuner built in as this means that when you record a television programme you can select it in the Freeview menu and press record instead of having to enter the data manually. So it is much quicker and easier to record programmes and it also means that you do not need a separate Freeview tuner and so if you have a Freeview set top box you will no longer have to use it. And if your television has a Freeview digital tuner built in then this gives you extra capacity to record multiple programmes at the same time as you can use the Freeview tuner in the television to watch a programme and the Freeview tuner in the DVD recorder to record other programmes.
