The Sony DVD recorders pack in an incredible amount of technology which make recording a joy. There are cheap Sony DVD recorders that have a standard DVD recorder and there are also more expensive models that have advanced features such as a hard drive and Freeview digital tuner. Having a hard disc drive (HDD) built in gives you all kinds of advantages and so they are very much recommended when you buy a Sony DVD recorder, with an HDD you do not need any discs and they have a much larger capacity. And with an HDD you also get some very advanced features such as the ability to pause and rewind live television and you can always transfer the recording onto a blank DVD should you need to watch it on another television.
A Sony DVD recorder with a Freeview digital tuner is also very much recommended as it makes recording television programmes so much easier as you simply choose to record from the Freeview menu. And with a Freeview digital tuner it also means that you do not need another Freeview tuner and if you do you can record more programmes while watching another.
